Hello! My name is Ksenia Borshch (just like Russian soup:) I’ve been working as a tour guide in Saint-Petersburg for three years now. I was born in a small town of Kostroma, by the way, where the first Romanov was crowned. After graduation from Teachers’ Training University I moved to Saint-Petersburg. Here I attended special courses to become a tour guide which became one the best decisions because I truly enjoy my work.
Saint-Petersburg is not my native city, but with every guest I fall in love with this ‘Venice of the North’ over and over again. Your passion for discoveries inspires me as well to share my profound knowledge of the city’s history, culture and architecture with my guests. Yet a great deal of amusing stories and jokes won’t make you feel bored. We may discuss issues of present days: what education we get, what apartments we prefer, where we go for weekend and even get a glimpse of our everyday life.
According to your tastes, we may visit not only the places on a must-see list: Hermitage, Spilled Blood Cathedral, St Isaac’s, Peter and Paul Fortress, Peterhof, Catherine Palace, mysterious Yusupov Palace, gorgeous Faberge museum. But we may also go deep to our metro(subway), visit local markets or Central Naval Museum, for enthusiasts. No doubt that you’re spoilt for choice, hah! No matter what you focus on, I promise to make it one of the most enjoyable experiences!
Take a look at some of the tours Ksenia runs:
