Three Day Private Moscow Tour
This Three Day Private Moscow Tour includes most of the famous must-sees. On this private tour you’ll explore the historic center and take a drive around the modern city; visit a world-famous Russian art gallery and visit Kremlin grounds. A trip outside of the city to Sergiev Posad is a chance to see a famous monastery and also to experience the Russian countryside.
On the first tour day you will take a 4 hour tour to reveal secrets of the Kremlin, the Senate House, the Presidium, the State Kremlin Palace concert hall and the cathedrals of the Assumption, the Annunciation and the Archangel — the last containing the Tombs of the Tsars.
You can also visit the Armory Chamber — a world-wide known treasure house displaying more than 4 thousand unique exhibits.*
In the afternoon our three-hour tour will introduce Moscow’s historic and geographic heart, where the Kremlin stands beside Red Square, onion-domed St Basil’s Cathedral, Lenin’s Mausoleum and the GUM, the former State Department Store, now a thriving, glittering Muscovite shopping mall. Tour of Moscow metro — you will see the most beautiful metro stations.
On the second day in the morning enjoy the 3 Hour Driving Tour Around Moscow. Touring the city by car lets you see the modern Moscow as well as the historic center, including a visit to the Christ the Savior cathedral, the Victory Park and Sparrow Hills, with a wonderful view of Moscow from the highest point in the city.
In the afternoon visit the Tretyakov Gallery, located in one of Moscow’s most interesting neighborhoods. This area, called Zamoskvoreche (“beyond the Moscow River”) was originally settled in the 13th century. The small winding streets give this area an almost old-fashioned atmosphere, with historic churches and the mansions of 19th century wealthy merchants. The Tretyakov Gallery is situated in the former home of the industrialist and great art collector, Pavel Tretyakov. Your guide will take you through the museum, which houses only Russian artists — from Andrei Rublev’s icons to famous 20th Century Russian painters (Repin and Aivazovsky). This is one of the world’s greatest collections of Russian art.
Day three — departure to Sergiev Posad. It is located 70 kilometers north of Moscow, and is famous for being one of the ‘Golden Ring’ towns that surround the capital. It is one of the most important centers of the Orthodox religion and is still an important destination for pilgrims. Founded around 1345 by St. Sergius of Radonezh, the Trinity Monastery is like a collection of fairytale towers and buildings come to life.
