Child-Friendly Tour details
It is a city sightseeing tour with many photo stops. You will see the most beautiful part of the city, learn the history of the foundation and development of St Petersburg. It includes visits to the major highlights of the city: the Church on Spilled Blood, the Hermitage Museum, Peterhof Gardens.
The Church on Spilled Blood is a fantastic cathedral built in Russian style. Originally it was the spot of Alexander II assassination. You can also book the Church on Spilled Blood separately. It is part of a bigger three cathedrals tour. It is also part of our Orthodox Church tour which includes not only cathedrals, but a monastery visit and an orthodox service participation.
You will visit several the St Petersburg metro stations. They are stunning examples of USSR architecture. Local underground keeps tracks of the revolution motives in sculpture and ornaments. It also has massive gates to convert a metro station into a full time bunker.
Tour of the Peterhof Lower fountain park and gardens is a major attraction for travelers and it’s available only from May to October. For kids, it is a great opportunity to chill out and play with Trick Fountains. The fountains for children are very popular and there you will also have lunch.
In the evening we can suggest an optional program. For instance, a Folk Show Bagatitsa (available separately as well) gives an overview of Russian folk dance and fashion of the past.
On the second day you will visit the Hermitage Museum and have a private boat ride.
The Hermitage Museum is not tiring at all simply because there is so much to see for different age categories.
The boat ride is probably the most popular activity for tourists in St Petersburg. The city is full of canals and rivers so a boat ride turns in a full tour with great views, no traffic jams and a lot of exciting moments.
Take a “Matroshka” doll painting class. Children can make their own Matroshka doll and have a marvelous souvenir for themselves! Our artist will help you to paint a unique doll. The activity is fun for all the family and you will have something to take home as well.
