Walking Tour of Copenhagen and Jewish Culture
Walking Tour of Copenhagen and Jewish Culture is a great chance to see the capital of Denmark from a different perspective. You will be met by the guide at the gate of the cruise harbor of Copenhagen.
After a short ride with the public bus you can feel yourself like a local. In 10-15 min we will get to the very center of the old town – the King’s Square. We will see the iconic New Harbor canal – with the colored medieval buildings and lots of historic wooden boats.
We will walk through one of the longest pedestrian streets in the world (not the whole street) and see the main monuments of middle ages: – churches and the Round Tower (going up the tower is optional at own cost). In the old town we will get to see the center of the Jewish Community – the Synagogue. Further on, we’ll get to the Castle Island and the stupendous building on the Danish Parliament and the Old Stock Market. On the Castle Island we will visit the Jewish museum and learn about the history and life of the Jewish community of Denmark.
After the tour of the Jewish museum guide will accompany you to the main pedestrian street and advice on the places to visit on own. Like for instance the little Mermaid which Copenhagen is famous for. And where to have the best meal in the city.
Guide will also explain how to get back to the port in the end of your time on own(bus ticket included in the price) OR accompany you to the bus stop right away.
